The Minnesota Department of Health’s grant application to establish a colorectal cancer screening program called Sage Scopes has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Shelly Madigan, Minnesota Department of Health’s Cancer Control Section assistant director, thanks the Minnesota Cancer Alliance for the support Alliance members provided during the application process.
"Although we don’t know the level of CDC funding at this time, we hope that with the added funding for colorectal screening passed this session by the state legislature, we will be able to create a great screening program," she says.
Stay tuned for further information as it becomes available.
