DeAnn Lazovich, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health in the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She also serves as co-leader of the Prevention and Etiology Program at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center. As a cancer epidemiologist, she has a longstanding research interest in cancer prevention and control, and has published on a wide range of cancer related problems across the cancer control continuum, including patterns of cancer care, interventions related to reducing untoward effects of diet, smoking, and workplace carcinogens, cancer screening, and causes of cancers of the breast, ovary, colon or rectum and melanoma. In addition to co-chairing the Prevention Workgroup during the development of Cancer Plan Minnesota, she serves as co-chair of the Minnesota Cancer Alliance Evaluation Committee.
