Evaluation |
Andrea drafted 2 types of evaluation for the course participants; a satisfaction evaluation and a pre-post knowledge self assessment. The aim of the satisfaction survey is to determine if the course was useful, presented in an effective manner, held interest, and to gather suggestions for improvement. This information will be shared with the Cancer Alliance Steering Committee as well as the HEIP Curriculum Committee who will be using this information to create the disease specific curriculum. The group also suggested it would be important to conduct a 3 or 6 month follow up evaluation with participants to see if they are still using what they have learned. Follow ups would be sent to the CHW and their supervisor along with an incentive to participate and information about joining the Cancer Alliance if not already members.
The pre-post assessment will be for participants to gauge their knowledge at the beginning and end of the course. The assessment is 13 T/F questions based on information presented throughout the day. |
Andrea will make revisions to the evaluations and have them ready for review at the next meeting. |
