Notes: Group agreed that MNCancerResources.org is the site address. Josh will register the .com and .org versions. Nicole will work with designers to incorporate name into the banner graphics. Karin will send out a brainstorming email for the tagline. Nicole provided insight - short, punchy, descriptive and can help differentiate. Two ideas starting out are: "connecting you to cancer resources in your community," and "a guide to cancer resources in your community." Goal is to select from a broader list of suggestions at the 4/12 meeting.

Notes: Angie gave an update on Friday's meeting and how a small group is dividing up the information categories. (see notes below). Need more childhood cancer resources in order to take advantage of the Lion in the House opportunity. Josh gave an update on the look and feel and how the design is coming along. (ww.cancerplan2.extranet.urbanplanet.com)  He also talked about how later on we'll need to determine if there are any resources we need to hide or change (came from CRD). Anna asked about the coding of "other and other categories." Josh will update/fix. Zip code searching will be ready for meeting on the 12th and it will persist in the website for users.

Notes: Next task force meeting on 4/12 at ACS from 8:30 to 10:30 is a key meeting to see the site/demo and decide on taglines. We may also have a few minutes to give an update or demo at the Steering committee meeting later that day - TBD. Those with "to do's" are focused on  completing by 4/11 so we have time to get feedback and make some more changes before the Summit.  The goal of the site for the Summit is that it is a preview site not a formal launch.

Notes: Jessica has 200 childhood cancer resources and will work with Josh to enter them.

 

  1. Other items

 

Notes: Karin is drafting a communications plan and will introduce it at the meeting on the 12th (provided we have time with website review and feedback). Jane asked about the Summit and how we may readjust presentations to accommodate other task force members  who want to go to other groups' meetings. No changes made at this time to planned Summit content or timing.

 

 Notes from Friday (3/24/06) meeting/working session:

  • Group will divide information categories and track down content and links and input into the actual site. Josh provided training and will send login/password info.
  • Jody: pain management, symptom management, treatment options, sexual issues
  • Angie: clinical trials, family history and screening
  • Karin: insurance info, medical coverage, employment issues
  • Jessica: childhood cancer
  • Jane and Jessica: write short descriptions for taxonomy categories
  • Angie: will write About US and we'll link to Plan site for that category
  • Holding off: advocacy until further review of content's aim
  • All information to be in the system by 4/11/06
