1.       Welcome/Introductions/Announcements: Princess Poole is the new Latino Outreach person at HCMC replacing.  Betty Sander with Sister in Hominy is moving from South Side Community Clinic.  Marva and the group discussed possible sites and will help her locate appropriate information for the new home.

2.       Recruiting more Pap team member:   Continue the discussion of out reach to more communities with their leaders.

·         Sara to follow up with the African group who are connected to the MIHV, Nadifa Osman, Abdullahi Sheikh to see if they want to continue sending their representative to the team meeting

·         Get updated data from the Hmong and African population from Liz Moe

·         Send email to all participants to ask for participation or suggest others to come to team meeting

3.       Up coming projects to consider:

·         GFK funding for a Patient Advocate Leaders Summit was suggested by Susan Schmitz via email to Marva.  Discussion about do the team want to take on the project of convening a conference.  When should it be and what should be the focus, HPV vaccine, what is the general immunization?  An online application is needed.   More clarification about the application process, the actual funding amount, specific requirement for conference topics, restrictions.  There are also questions that will MCA approved the project.  Susan should be invited back for better discussion

·         Makeisha suggested a St. Paul screening day with St. Paul Ramsey Public Health  for spring 2009

·         Cervical Cancer Resource Day to educate the school nurses, people who interested in cervical cancer, CHWs working and educating the community.  Also to educate the MCA about the Pap team and the works being done

·         The Pap card: final version to print.  Translate it into other languages?

4.                   Health disparity task force:  September 18 from 10 to 12:00.  ACS has information for CBO research grants

5.                   Next meeting:  September 30, 2008, 10 to 12:00  Snelling Office Park
