Evaluation Question: To what extent is the project being implemented?

 

Outcomes

  • Hold one Friend-to-Friend event for the Pastor’s Wives group by April 2006
  • At least two site coordinators or "champions" from each church will be identified, recruited and trained during the intervention period.
  • All participating churches will hold at least one Friend-to-Friend event by October 2006.
  • All site coordinators return and complete 100% of reports and surveys by October 2006.
  • 20% of age appropriate female congregants at each church participate in Friend-to-Friend sessions.

OUTCOME/IMPACT oriented objectives and evaluation questions

 

Evaluation question:  To what extent was there a change in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior about breast and cervical among women receiving the intervention?

 

Objectives

  • 75% of participants will report that they plan to receive age-appropriate screening as evidenced by the intake form.
  • Evaluation question:  A) Did Friend- to-Friend result in an increase of breast and cervical cancer screening among women receiving the intervention?
  • Evaluation question: B) To what extent were women being screened prior to the intervention versus after the intervention?

 

Objectives

  • A total of 169  referrals will be made to free or low-cost clinics for cancer screening. (Represents 75% of goal: 225 women reached)
  • Of the intake forms indicating need for Pap test screening, 75% will go on to receive a Pap test at least 12 months post intervention.
  • Of the intake forms indicating need for mammography screening, 75% will go on to receive a mammogram at least 12 months post-intervention.
  • Of participants in Friend-to-Friend intervention 75% will comply with current screening guidelines within 12 months post-intervention.
